Construction Documents

After most of the details have been worked out with the design, the task of completely documenting it begins.

There are many items that fall into the category of Construction Documents with the most common being plans and specifications; these differ in the type of information they contain, but they are complementary in their purposes. The plans will contain detailed information about the overall construction and implementation of the concept while the specifications are detailed descriptions of specific items (i.e. the doors, windows, equipment, etc.) from outside manufacturers like www.bi-folding-doors.co.uk. The Construction Documents will represent the single largest physical object an Architect will produce for their client; but they are merely representative of the creative design they bore and fostered through the previous phases.

Construction Documents refers to all the required documents needed for a myriad of tasks:

  • Construction Bidding
  • Governmental Permitting
  • And of course Construction.
